Fem It is the most successful feminizing reversal spray we have encountered in the industry. Originally developed in 1999 and released to breeders in 2001, its formula remained a closely guarded secret for many years and was improved again in June 2022. Fem It has been used by some of the world’s most elite cannabis breeders, and we are now making it accessible to smaller breeders who want dependable reversals without the mixing, measuring, repeated applications, and strict storage requirements associated with traditional reversal products.

Fem It is not silver thiosulfate solution (STS), and it is not colloidal silver. Do not be misled by sellers offering premixed STS online without clearly addressing its age or storage history. STS should be prepared fresh and used within a few weeks because it can begin degrading over time—even when stored in a dark amber glass container inside a refrigerator. We have personally experienced this degradation, resulting in plants that only partially reversed and breeding projects that cost us thousands upon thousands of dollars. STS must also be sprayed in darkness and generally reapplied every five days for approximately three weeks. Colloidal silver can work, but it must likewise be applied in darkness, with recommended schedules requiring spraying up to three times daily for as long as four weeks. That process requires a considerable investment of time and a much larger volume of solution.

Fem It provides a simpler, more stable, and more dependable solution: apply it once on the day the plant is flipped to flower, and the application is complete. Unlike STS, Fem It remains stable when stored properly and can last for up to two years. We ship it in an amber, light-resistant bottle and recommend keeping it in a cool location protected from direct sunlight and heat. This ready-to-use spray saves time, supports fuller reversals, and has proven effective on genetics that can be particularly difficult to reverse. It temporarily reverses the sexual expression of a female plant, allowing it to produce feminized pollen for crosses, self-pollinations, backcrosses, seed-line improvements, and other female-only breeding projects.
